Self POrtrait
Will we ever be able to look upon our own bodies with an unbiased gaze? This piece follows the relationship between the body, my own, and our concept of self. Is the separation between body and self possible, and see them as two different entities or does our body so closely relate to our thoughts, emotions, memories and our being that this separation is impossible? While gazing upon my own body, attempting to have an unbiased view, I begin to notice all it’s flaws and imperfections, these “issues” start to overwhelm my concept of self.
